The modern job search is grueling. It used to be that you could walk into an office and speak to someone. Since this is rarely the case nowadays, I created this portfolio page to showcase some of the projects I've worked on.

After doing some research and asking around, I chose to use Sanity.io, Next.js, and Vercel to host, edit, and deploy the portfolio site because of the ease of development and updating allowed by those tools. I actually used a template offered on the Sanity.io website (https://www.sanity.io/templates/nextjs-sanity-clean) and modified it to look and feel like what I had in mind for my own use. In particular, I wanted the site to look good on both mobile and desktop screens, and to be able to handle light or dark modes.

I've only used Next.js on a couple small tutorial projects, so this was a great learning experience for me. The creators did a great job of making a full React framework, and Typescript and Tailwind add to that, making development enjoyable and exciting.

Once the website was to my liking (apart from a few improvements I'm still building) I deployed it to Vercel with GitHub. The modifications I've made since then have all been through Sanity's content management system, currently being hosted locally on my computer.

Feel free to check the site out and reach out to contact me via the Contact page (built using Resend!) if you think I could fit with your team.
